1st Euro-Africa Cooperation Forum 25-26 March 2009

euro-africaforum26_mar_092nd day in Brussels:

sorry the photo is not so clear but for a computer camera it does not look so bad. And sorry too the forum was not recorded so there are no videos but the presentations will be posted on their website. Areas discussed in the Forum:

  • Network with key stakeholders in the field (private and public)
  • Identify potential cooperation partners
  • “EU-AU Partnership on Science, ICT and Space” (the 8th Partnership) and the EC/AUC Programmes
  • opportunities to enhance African participation in FP7
  • successful EU-African FP7 cooperation projects and EU-African PPP (Public-Private Partnerships)

I still think the academia was under represented, but whose fault is it? Follow the link for the Forum Report http://euroafrica-ict.org/events/forum_report.
